What You Focus On Expands!

While listening to the book, EXCUSE ME YOUR LIFE IS WAITING, on my way to work this morning, it suddenly hit me that I  had experienced the "Law Of Attraction" years ago, long before I knew what to call it.

As far back as I can remember, I had a burning desire to play the piano.  I can remember sitting on the front pew at church, so young my feet couldn't even touch the floor. I was fascinated by watching the church pianist play the piano.

In my mind's eye, I could see ME sitting at that piano playing for church one day! Sunday after Sunday, I'd let myself dream that dream and focus on that vision of what I wanted.

Unfortunately, my parents were blue collar with three other children to support. They said they could afford lessons but not a piano for me to practice on. 

I was disappointed, naturally, but I could still see myself playing a piano in church one day.  I didn’t know how, but I just knew it was going to happen.

One Christmas Eve when I was eight, my family and I returned home from church. There, in our living room, was an unbelievable sight. Uncle Maurice had bought me a used piano and slipped it into the house as a surprise Christmas gift. It was an old upright, but to me, it was the most beautiful piano I had ever seen.

Looking back, I now realize that it was "The Law Of Attraction" that set my miracle in motion. Without understanding what I was doing, I had put all the attraction components into place.

I had the DESIRE, the unwavering BELIEF that it would happen, a clear VISION in my mind, and I could FEEL what it would be like to play my piano.

Uncle Maurice’s gift that Christmas Eve changed my life and set me on a path that would lead to more than 50 years as a professional pianist.

My old piano is long gone, replaced by many over the years like the one you see above.
